Made in USA

Are you worried about the materials used in your favorite products?  It takes some looking, but companies are beginning to put the Made in USA emblem on the package.  In recent years, there have been problems with products made in other parts of the world having dangerous chemicals or paint in or on them.  As hard hit as Americans have been, it feels good to find products that are safe, as well as providing jobs here at home.  In our state, the unemployment rate was over 14%.  That number didn't count people who had given up on finding a job or had run out of time on their unemployment checks.

I am always conscious of where products are made that I ingest or put on my skin.  The recent scare of lipstick with lead in it was alarming.

Well, now there is a website called USA Love List that regularly updates the companies that make products in the USA.  www.usalovelist.com

The companies are listed by category, so you can look up cosmetics, toys, housewares, and many other things that you want to purchase.  These include great companies like Kitchen Aid, Burts Bees, Aveda, All Clad, and many others.

You might pay a little bit more for something made in the USA, but it is worth it in the long run for the safety of you and your family.
